The Gretna City Council approved a class D liquor li- cense for Pit Stop G & C, the new gas station taking over the BP location on Hwy 6. The third reading and adoption of Ordinance 2024, which amends the zoning regulations to include a downtown overlay district was approved. The amendment would require a uniform style for downtown buildings.
Ordinance 2026 rezoned lots at the Lakeview subdivision from residential to medium density residential, the ordinance was passed. A new ordinance, 2027, was passed, which was amending zoning rules for dog daycare and boarding facilities. Any dog daycares requires at least a 6 ft tall fence that is covered from residential areas.
A pay request of $256,301 was approved to HR Bookstrom Construction for the second phase of the Tiburon Sub-Basin Interceptor Sewer. TAB Holding Inc. was granted a $263,724 pay request for its work on the 204th St and Angus St paving improvements. Tab also received $151,726 for their work on paving improvements on 216th St. Engemann Drainage Inc. was granted a $89,432 pay request and a 92- day contract extension for working on and Industrial Park/Hwy 6 water main improvement.
The City Council also approved a special designated liquor license for the Nebraska Balloon and Wine Festival on August 10 and 11.
