The Gretna girls tennis team opened their season on Thurs- day, march 22 with a triangular dual against Omaha Skutt and Norris. The Skyhawks proved the better team in the first dual winning 3 of the four matches for the 3-1 win. Gretna’s lone win came at #2 Doubles as Trinity Ortlieb and Jill Brion teamed up to win 8-6.

In the second dual against Norris Gretna was able to fare better. Angela Gahan won 8- 4 at #1 Singles while Ruthie Isaacson completed the sweep with an 8-1 win at #2 Singles. In the Doubles competition Gretna managed to picked up the match winning results with Trinity Ortlieb and Jill Brion winning 8-4 at #2 Doubles.

The Dragons got back on the court a week later on Thursday, March 29 as they took on Lincoln Christian. Lincoln Christian won the dual 6-2.

Gretna’s two wins came in the single portion with Jenna Brewer winning 8-2 at #5 Singles, and Emma Beran winning 8-2 at #6 Singles.

Gretna then took on Brownell- Talbot on Thursday, April 5 fall- ing 8-1.

Gretna’s only win came from Chayna Davidson at #3 Singles as she defeated Anna Kotula 8- 5.
